1. GOLDEN WING Band's Old Song Becomes 'THE CREATOR' OST
GOLDEN WING is a band from Palembang which was formed in 1969. At that time, GOLDEN WING was quite a popular band. In fact, this band is ranked alongside famous bands, such as AKA, Rollies, and God Bless.
Interestingly, two old songs popularized by GOLDEN WING were used as OSTs in the Hollywood film THE CREATOR. These two songs are entitled Holy Love and Glorious Day.
Both songs have melodies that are lilting and sad. This song also becomes the background sound for the scene where the main character THE CREATOR experiences the other side of the human bond with an artificial intelligence (AI) entity. 3. Director's Statement on Selecting GOLDEN WING's Songs as 'THE CREATOR' OST
Director Gareth Edwards revealed that the meeting between the film THE CREATOR and the songs GOLDEN WING was the reason for choosing this song.
"Imagine you are flipping through records in Indonesia and find a band from the 70s that is like another version of The Doors. That's the sound we are looking for," said Edwards, quoted from the Empire Magazine account upload on social media X (Twitter).
This film is played by a series of selected best actors. Madeleine Yuna Voyles, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Allison Janney, Ralph Ineson, Marc Menchaca, and Veronica Ngo also star in this film made by 20th Century Studios.
THE CREATOR is intended for audiences aged 13 years and over. This film is full of social criticism and rejection of all types of war.
